ClayWays Summer Camps for Kids 2008
Kids have a great time being creative and spontaneous at ClayWays’ 1/2-day summer camps.
Mon. – Fri., 8:30 a.m. to Noon.
Cost: $165- all materials included.
Each class has an experienced instructor and a teacher’s assistant.
The maximum number of participants in any camp is 14.
OLDER KIDS
Older kids (ages 11 and up) learn to use a potter’s wheel, how to trim, finish and underglaze their pots. They also learn how to create unique pottery using slab construction, pinching, and coiling methods of handbuilding pottery.
YOUNGER KIDS
Younger kids (ages 6 -10) have a great time with clay, making projects like animal rattles, masks, and bowls to give just a few examples. Each instructor brings their own unique set of projects to the camp. Younger kids also spend part of each morning doing other art projects such as bookmaking, drawing, kite making, and painting.
